NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS AND HOW TO KEEP THEM!

Finally sat down and reflected on my life at the end of the year, and I could say AGAIN that I fulfilled my resolution and goals! Vaguely but I did. And this is how..

WRITE IT DOWN

Studies have shown that if you write it down, chances of you sticking to it, or manifesting it are higher! I loved Lou Holtz's story when he and his wife played a game to write a list of 100 things that they wanted to achieve or do in their lives. The List was full of lofty -pie in the sky- thoughts. Even, get invited to the White house. Well....he did! IF you haven't raed his book "Wins, Losses, and Lessons"... PICK IT UP! It will change your life!

Last year I had written on a post it note on my desk my main goals to hit for the year!

The list below is what I wrote. I do this every year, as I am an avid list maker. I achieved them all. Maybe not in the way that I thought I would, but I did!

1) Spiritual growth: I Actually Read the Bible -and kept TBN on most of the year!

Fitness: run or walk and do at least one race or event this summer .(DID IT!)

3) Use my gifts:Write a play or complete a painting (Got into an art gallery!)

4)Travel: Went to Ireland!

5) Relationships: Gained a new friend, helped a few friends and spend more time with family.

(And speaking of Lou Holts List, I was even invited to a Notre Dame graduation for a family member. I know that was on my grandparents wish list one time! Though, I did not graduate, being there and being part of the tradition was a weekend I will cherish!

6)Money: Pick up a side job- (This I technically never did. But I did the rest! ) In fact, I spent more money then I ever planned this year. But its OK! IT was all worth it. My goals were achieved.

GAMING!

Instead of working out for two hours every day, make a plan to do 50 push ups in week 1 of 2019.

Eat 40 salads this year.

Bring in an extra $5,000 in savings by October!

This should make it easier to break down, and when you can check them off, you are more confident to achieving more, because you already DID!

It's still WINNING!

MAKE SPACE FOR CHANGE!

As you go on your yearly journey, you will find yourself changing with the seasons, and while you may or may not have kept your resolutions, your need of space will matter, and it will give you the clarity, and the room for opportunity and creativity to spark! Out with the Old and in with the NEW!

After a year, I found that the biggest challenge was the spiritual growth and my biggest gain. I realized that I make it so difficult for myself when I push myself out from the life that I actually have! By reading and setting time each day to listen to God's word from the Bible or a sermon, my whole life was Richer! I understood it a more, And also with that, I gave up on trying to understand it. But the whole world around me changed, each day I acknowledged Him. I am not alone in my plans. I am living and walking in faith.

I hope you all have the most inspirational 2019!

I thank you for reading. I am not sure where I am going with this blog, exactly. But I am starting fresh this year. It could be lifestyle, with a faith flare. Whatever it is. I hope to somewhere, somehow inspire those who need a little change in perspective and light. Each day! Wish me Luck
